Invisibles characters

'Invisibles characters. A look at the backstage of Spanish cinema'

Film shoot photos by José Haro.

Colegio de los Caracciolos – Universidad de Alcalá.

From the 28th of October to the 1st of December 2021. Calle Trinidad 3 y 5.

A selection of 33 images taken by the photographer José Haro, showing the backstage of some of the best shoots in Spanish film.

The collection takes a look at situations, trades and spaces that do not normally show up in the end result: a less glamourous view of the seventh art, but full of anecdotical situations of great interest to film buffs, who can enjoy the best images of the shoots of more than ten Spanish productions, such as “Transsiberian” with Eduardo Noriega and Ben Kingsley, “Alatriste” with Viggo Mortensen and “20 centímetros” with Pilar Bardem and Pablo Puyol, among other films.

Jose Haro is a well-known Spanish photographer with more than thirty films under his belt. He was born in Madrid in 1973 and has received, among other international awards, the Kodak European Portrait award and the Agfa European portrait award. He has been freelance since the beginning of his career, has published his photos in El País Semanal, and in the magazine and Sunday edition of El Mundo, as well as in most of Spain’s national newspapers. MIRAL, by Julian Schnabel, was his most recent work prior to the presentation of this exhibition.
