A Screwball Date

A SCREWBALL DATE

By Ali Larrey and Jorge Alvariño.

From the 4th of November in the hall of the Teatro Salón Cervantes. Calle Cervantes.

Following on from the recovery of exhibitions at ALCINE, we are pleased to once again announce a unique exhibit combining set design and photography, brought up to date and with a new presentation. The images are taken in the same space in which they are on exhibit in the Teatro Salón Cervantes (at least half of them were, while the other half were taken at the Madrid Casino).  It is inspired by the thirties and forties in the USA, above all by the illustrations of Norman Rockwell and Screwball comedies, naïve stories of two nerds, at turns comical and tender. Aida Foch (Los lunes al sol, El artista y la modelo) and Eloy Azorín (Juana la loca, Todas las canciones hablan de mí) are the stars.
