Fernando Leon de Aranoa born in Madrid in 1968. Degree in Imaging Science from the Complutense University in Madrid, says he always knew he wanted to be a screenwriter and film director. The directorial debut is a short, ‘Sirens’ (1994), and not long two years, does his first feature film, ‘Family’, production of Elias Querejeta. It was a surprise, original and surprising way of signaling that we all need the love of a family, and it is no wonder that receives a Goya for best new director, and the film is sold through world. Already in this debut it shows that he was good at directing actors, perhaps because he understands what people are like and the characters, all the time.
