Maria Eriksson-Hecht is a Swedish filmmaker with a master degree in film directing from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her award-winning short films have been screened at film festivals such as Karlovy Vary and Clermont Ferrand. 'Schoolyard Blues' ('Skolstartssorg', 2017) won over 40 international awards and screened at more than 100 festivals. She is a Berlinale Talent 2021 alumna.
