Late at night in a small town in Anatolia, a young couple tries to find a hotel room to spend the night together. They are rejected from all hotels for not having a marriage certificate. Once they believe they’ve found a trick to use, the situation gets out of hand.
Serhat Karaaslan was born and raised in Kurdistan, graduated from pharmacy in Istanbul in 2006 and then worked as a Pharmacist while making short films. He finished the master’s program for Directors of Film & Drama at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. His films have won around hundreds of awards and screened in major film festivals including Toronto, Thessaloniki and Istanbul. For example, his first feature 'Passed by Censor' (2019) won many prizes including FIPRESCI Prize & Best International film at the 32nd Panorama of the European Film Festival and got awarded at the 38th Istanbul Film Festival (Best Script, Best Editing).
